Private Non Profit

This notice is our annual invitation for your school to join Grand Saline ISD in consulting about the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Private Non Profit School Needs Assessment.  The Grand Saline  Independent School District (ISD) anticipates receiving federal funding through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) for the 2022-2023 school year. This funding is allocated to districts on a formula basis. Grand Saline ISD applies for these funds through the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Consolidated Application for federal funding. The current four federal programs under the ESSA application are the following:

  • Title I Part A: Improving Academic Achievement of Disadvantaged Students-Basic Programs
  • Title II, Part A: Improving Teacher and Principal Quality
  • Title III, Part A: English Language Acquisition (ELA)
  • Title IV, Part A: Student Support and Academic Enrichment

Federal funds for services are available for K-12 students in public and private nonprofit (501c 3) schools. Please contact Debby Morse at dmorse@grandsalineisd.net if you would like more information about completing a comprehensive needs assessment and more information in participating in federal funding.

If your school will not participate in any of the 2022-2023 ESSA programs, please email Debby Morse at dmorse@grandsalineisd.net.

Please be advised that a non-response by April 1, 2022 will indicate that your school has declined to participate in any ESSA programs in the 2022-2023 school year.
